Elk Grove High School is a member of the Illinois High School Association and the Mid Suburban League Conference in the Eastern division.

The Mid Suburban League is rich in baseball tradition and is known as one of the best baseball conferences in the state of Illinois. The conference has produced numerous professional and collegiate baseball players. Major Leaguers that have been produced by this conference include Dave Otto (Elk Grove), Dave Kingman (Prospect), Todd Hundley (Fremd), Dan Wilson (Barrington), Brian Schmack (Rolling Meadows), Mike Marshall (Buffalo Grove), Tim Bogar (Buffalo Grove), and Mike Myers (Hersey).

The Grenadiers play each member of the Eastern division of the MSL in a home and away series each year. The Eastern division is made up of Elk Grove, Buffalo Grove, Rolling Meadows, Prospect, Herey, and Wheeling. Elk Grove also will play each member of the Western division once each year with the home field alternating from year to year. The Western division is made up of Conant, Fremd, Palatine, Barrington, and Schaumburg.

The top team in each division meets to play in the MSL Conference championship game each year. The site for the championship game rotates yearly between the East and West division.

The Grenadiers baseball program consists of teams that compete at four levels. The varsity, sophomore, and the Freshman A and B teams make up our program.

The Grenadiers also have a varsity summer team that competes in the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches summer league and tournament. The Grenadiers baseball program also offers various summer camp opportunities for current and future Grenadiers as well.
